Mercico is highly committed to social awareness. We are linked in the program committed to the House of Commerce and sponsored by the BID, whose main fronts are management and corporate governance, human rights and internal organization, suppliers and value-chain, environment, goods and services, and community.
As to facts that demonstrate our social responsibility are that we can say that over 90% of our workers are women who are householders.

In our moral commitment to the stakeholders, we are implementing a program of ethics and anti-corruption by Bavaria(subsidiary of SabMiller in Colombia) in partnership with the NGO "Transparency for Colombia" called "Rumbo Ética-Empresas integras y transparente”

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT

With regard to our responsibility to the environment we are included in the project ZOPRA (areas of recovery of the environment). This program is led by the Environmental Secretary of Bogota with the businesses in the town of Puente Aranda in order to implement a Management Program (Management of the Environmental dumps, soil and atmospheric emissions, Recycling program; Control of hazardous waste; recovery of storm water, training for all staff).
